Goat Anthrax

Who knew Texas had an area referred to the “Anthrax Triangle”, a region in Southwest Texas where Bacillus anthracis spores naturally live in the limestone-rich soil. With a name like that it is unsurprising when you see reports of a second goat in the region to contract anthrax. Animal health officials have quarantined the affected property. This marks the third case in the U.S. this year. Although not highly unusual, it is always good to highlight these things.
