U.S. Marines Can’t find a supplier for HazMat Suits

This week the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Clothing and Textiles supply chain posted its 3^rd Solicitation looking for HazMat Chemical Protective Suits based on the needs of the U.S. Marines Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) team.

As of this writing the 3 posted government solicitations have NOT been awarded, potential value of this order could be worth over $675,000.00 for Chemical Protective Suits.

These solicitations represent 3 separate requests coming from the U.S. Marines CBIRF office Indian Head, Maryland.  These Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Chemical Protective Suits NSN 8415-01-627-9840 are part of a larger system (DRSKO) managed by the Joint Program Executive Officer for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND).

The Dismounted Reconnaissance Sets, Kits and Outfits (DRSKO) are part of the CBRN DRS program.  It’s essentially a comprehensive kit (comprised of close to 500 items) that are used by CBRN warfighters for protection, decontamination and providing other capabilities to support safe operations.
