Telerob Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Telerob Gesellschaft für Fernhantierungstechnik mbH is this year celebrating it's 25th Anniversary.

What started as a small sales office for nuclear applications with six employees has developed over the years more and more into the leading supplier of EOD robots. Telerob Gesellschaft für Fernhantierungstechnik mbH can look back proudly on 25 successful years in 2019. Shortly after the company was founded in 1994, the original product range of nuclear technology was expanded to include the field of bomb disposal technology. Telerob quickly specializes in the development of large manipulator vehicles.

In 1999 Telerob celebrates a world premiere: The first EOD robot with tool magazine and telescope is presented. Under the name tEODor, it became a bestseller in the following years and became a reliable tool for many armies and police units worldwide. A development order from the British Ministry of Defence in 2002 brings the next challenge: The development of an alternative, large disposal robot Cutlass. The next milestone follows in 2006 with the creation of a new, compact robot generation.

With the delivery of the first telemax, the foundation stone of the telemax family has been laid, which has steadily expanded over the years by further models and quickly enjoys the same popularity as its great colleague tEODor. The founding of Telerob USA Inc. in 2016, based in the US state of Pennsylvania, offers our overseas customers a faster, more direct service and opens up enormous market and growth potential for Telerob. The launch of the tEODor EVO in 2018 will be the next technological leap forward. And the journey is far from over. “In countless research and development projects, we consistently drive the technologies forward and thus shape the disposal technology. Autonomous driving, speech recognition and the integration of airborne systems are just some of the topics we are currently working on. Much has changed over the past 25 years, but our aspirations have remained the same:

Replacing human beings with machines where their presence would place them at great risk”, says Thomas Biehne, Managing Director. Telerob Gesellschaft für Fernhantierungstechnik GmbH is an independent, medium-sized, owner-managed company based in Ostfildern near Stuttgart, Germany, producing homeland security solutions. The product range includes remote-controlled robots for disarming improvised explosive devices and investigating hazards, fully equipped service vehicles as well as mobile system solutions ensuring the safety and security of critical infrastructure.
