IDF preps Israeli medical centres for chemical atttacks
According to the Jerusalem Post, the IDF Home Front Command announced new measures in December to tackle chemical attacks on Israel's domestic hospitals. The new measures will focus on efforts to mitigate a chemical attack by providing facilities for mass-decontamination and triage in the event of a large-scale disaster. Staff at Israeli medical centres will be given training to more effectively deal with missile attacks and incidents that are likely to incur \"1000+\" casualties. Sources close to the IDF, however, stress that the threat-level of an attack from neighbouring Syria remains low and that these plans are being implemented at least three years in advance of any anticipated threat.
