Florida hazmat training gets Hazsim

Valencia’s Fire Academy’s Hazardous Materials Technician course starts offering Hazsim training on their February course

Valencia’s Fire Academy’s hazmat technician program will be proud to be the first and only hazardous materials technician program in Florida to add HazSim training system to their arsenal in February. This will allow them to better educate the regions first responders in a real time/real world hazardous environment without the risk of exposing students to dangerous chemicals and assist in their learning.

Valencia’s Fire Academy’s Hazardous Materials Technician course offers a week on – week off schedule. It consists of four full weeks of training for a total of 160 hours. The curriculum is based on the IAFF HazMat Technician course using equal classroom and hands-on training. The Course is open to any State certified firefighter who wishes to be a part of a hazardous materials response team. Find out more via
