DHS Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Pre-Solicitation 2019
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has posted topics for the DHS Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) 19.1 Pre-Solicitation. The Pre-Solicitation contains 10 topic descriptions, eight from the Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) and two from the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office.
“The SBIR program provides an opportunity for innovative small businesses to find solutions that meet the technology needs of the Department’s operational components and the nation’s first responders,” said William N. Bryan, Senior Official Performing the Duties of the DHS Under Secretary for Science and Technology. “As the research and development arm for the Department, S&T encourages all eligible U.S. small businesses to learn more about the planned topic areas for the upcoming SBIR solicitation as a first step toward addressing homeland security technology needs.”
During the pre-solicitation period, which ends at noon ET on December 18, potential offerors have the opportunity to ask technical questions regarding the topic areas. Technical questions should be directed to the Technical Point of Contact for each topic, listed in the 19.1 SBIR Topic Areas document. The pre-solicitation can be viewed here
