Capital series of CBRNe defence workshops planned for London
A capital opportunity to explore the four key stages of CBRN defence with world-renowned experts from a wide variety of disciplines and organisations, is on offer as part of CBRNe Convergence Europe in London in May 2017.
CBRNe Convergence Europe is taking place in Central London, from May 16-18 and seats are limited! Book now to avoid disappointment and to take advantage of our Early Bird rate.
The conference will include four interactive workshops, each of which will be chaired by three expert moderators drawn from across the CBRNe community. Delegates will have the chance to examine, explore and discuss the various issues at each stage of a planned event.
1.The first workshop will examine the intelligence, research and medical countermeasures/stockpiling stage. For example, looking at identifying the obvious triggers that a group might be looking to create a CBRN device.
2.The second workshop would look at the immediate pre-incident phase, such as how to set up pre-incident cordons, monitors and screening?
3.The third workshop will move the delegate discussion forward to look at the post-release stage including how to manage a complex incident with an inevitable shortage of information.
4.The final workshop will be based around the investigation and recovery phase including the identification of victims
Each afternoon will see the delegates move through each topic in small groups to allow lively and thought-provoking discussions. In addition, the three-day event will also feature pre-conference workshops, including public reaction to mass decontamination, and the emerging issues surrounding gene editing through CRISPR.
There will be keynote speakers presenting on the latest trends and issues, networking opportunities, and the chance to view and review the latest in CBRNe technology and equipment at the 40-strong industry-focussed exhibition which runs alongside the conference.
If you work in the CBRNe or Hazmat field, this is the conference for you, expected to attract over 300 first responders and experts from the military, fire service, police and civil defence organisations.
