AirBoss to deliver protective equipment for ADF’s Land 2110 Phase 1B
Leidos Australia has awarded a contract to AirBoss Defense for the delivery of protective equipment to the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) Land 2110 Phase 1B programme.The Land 2110 Phase 1B CBRN defence capability facilities project will provide force protection to its deployed personnel, assigned coalition personnel and Phase 1B designated civilians, both offshore and within Australia.
Under the deal, worth $11m, Airboss will be responsible for providing Leidos with critical personal protective equipment to support the ADF CBRND programme, and will cover the delivery of protective gear such as gloves, overboots, and the recently launched Low Burden Mask (LBM).
AirBoss Defense’s LBM has been designed and developed to serve as the most advanced gas mask in the world, equipped with the latest advanced lens, optical viewing area, improved fit and reduced breathing resistance.
The Land 2110 Phase 1B project aims to provide new and updated facilities at 14 sites across Australia to support the training of personnel against exposure to toxic industrial materials and CBRN weapons.
The $243.5m contract for the Land 2110 Phase 1B project was awarded to Leidos Australia last month.
