Chemical attack at McDonald's

Six people were rushed to hospital after they were attacked with a chemical at a McDonald's restaurant.

Emergency services were called to the fast food chain's branch in Waltham Abbey, Essex, after the unknown substance was squirted at staff. Initially they thought the liquid was water, but an ambulance was called after they suffered a reaction with their skin and eyes. The hazardous area response team was also in attendance.

Four suspects are said to have carried out the attack. A police probe is now underway following the incident.
