A man once arrested after police found a makeshift bomb while responding to a domestic incident is facing more charges related to weapons of mass destruction and domestic violence. Justin Lloyd Coleman was most recently arrested on Dec. 4 around Huntersville Commons Drive, just off Statesville Road, regarding domestic violence incidents happening in September and November.

When police searched his home, officers said they found suspected devices of mass destruction, firearms and ammunition. Coleman was charged in 2020 with two counts of possession of weapons of mass destruction and two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon after police found a makeshift bomb while investigating a domestic disturbance. Four years later, he was charged with felony assault by strangulation, felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, possession of firearm by felon, and three counts of possession of weapons of mass destruction. Coleman is being held without bond.
