Four injured in explosion

Reporting states there was there was a truck that was unloading chemicals used in the clarification process of water, apparently there was residue from another chemical in the tank the truck was unloading into, and they did not mix well, resulting in the tank exploding. Public Information Officer Mark Pierce of the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office, stated at the time that the extent of the victims' injuries was unknown, but one was reported to be serious. A hazmat team was on the scene quickly, the chemical release contained, and no need for evacuation of the surrounding area.
