US Army awards $8.3B in CBRN R&D Contracts
The U.S. Army has awarded 170 companies positions on a potential 10-year, $8.27 billion contract to help the service research and develop chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense systems.
The hybrid contract also covers R&D work on high-yield explosive defense platforms, equipment, material, supplies and other capabilities in support of the Joint Enterprise Research, Development, Acquisition and Production and Procurement program, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
