Steris awarded JSF decon
The good people at Global Biodefense spotted that Steris had been awarded this service support contract for the JSF here. Steris had previously been chosen as the decon technology of choice, here and as the Fedbizops post shows here this was based on an RFP released on the 8th July, for a four year performance period with an anticipated value of $1,500,000. Since the technology provided is proprietary it should come as no great surprise that Steris was awarded this. Steris provide a mVHP solution to the sensitive/aircraft decon problem, other solutions that have been considered in similar roles were DEFENZ enzymes and AFRL has done a lot of research on hot air (for inactivation of bio).
