bioMerieux, SA's merger with BioFire Diagnostics is now complete and to better serve their markets and customers, and also meet government regulations on security and business ownership, BioFire Diagnostics split into two companies: BioFire Diagnostics, LLC and BioFire Defense, LLC.
BioFire Defense is the center for new product innovation and will continue to deliver their suite of biological agent identification products (including the FilmArray system) and life science systems. The BioFire Defense team has remained intact and the company stated it will continue to provide the same level of dedication to the sector but also be able to provide synergies through the parent company.
