RCMP arrest two in attempted bombing

Two Canadian born citizens have been arrested in connection with a terrorist plot to bomb the BC Legislature in Victoria, Canada.

On July 1 the RCMP arrested and charged a man and a woman who were attempting to set off explosive devices housed in pressure cookers during Canada Day celebrations. The RCMP said that the people had been inspired by Al Qaeda, but that the plot had been in play long before the Boston bombings. Photos and more information is available here Conventional devices are clearly still the order of the day, and it is good to see that Canadian law enforcement are managing to keep on the left of boom.
