MOD calls for ideas on IED detection
MOD scientists are calling on the innovative ideas of UK industry and academia as they look to enhance improvised explosive device (IED) detector technology.
The MOD’s Defense Science and Technology laboratory (Dstl) are currently accepting applications to work with them, and potentially participate in a series of IED detection demonstration days which take place between 3 September 2012 and 31 January 2013.
Dstl officials say they are interested in concepts at 'a very early stage of development, through to those to the prototype stage’.
Selected submissions will then work with Dstl and military subject matter experts and propose scenarios suited to the technology of their proposed detection solution.
