Federal Resources acquires HazMatIQ

STEVENSVILLE, MD., Feb. 6, 2013--- Effective immediately HazMatIQ will join the Federal Resources Hazmat, EOD, CBRNE centric training team.

This acquisition allows Federal Resources to increase their footprint in the Hazmat training arena. Federal Resources is recognized for their new equipment and scenario based training on CBRNE predominant equipment. “HazMatIQ delivers training to key customers at the DoD, Federal, State and Local levels with unprecedented success. We believe that the HazMatIQ curriculum and training methods paired with our current new equipment & operational training offering will revolutionize the market”, said Federal Resources CEO, Robbie McWilliams.

The industry known HazMatIQ courses will maintain their same scope and systematic approach of “Chemistry made easy” lessons that thousands of first responders have come to trust and depend on for operational excellence. HazMatIQ will continue to offer, First Responder Offensive, Above the Line/Below the Line, Advanced-IO, Air Monitoring, Tox-Medic sessions as well as customized courses designed for specific equipment and applications. Federal Resources plans to integrate HazMatIQ’s training techniques and educational tools into their existing CBRNE/Hazmat training division. Founders of HazMatIQ Joe Gorman and Cris Aguirre will work within Federal Resources to ensure the quality and course curriculum remains relevant and forward thinking for emerging Hazmat threats. FEDERAL RESOURCES/HAZMAT IQ TRAINER PROFILES:

TAMMY ROETTGERS:
Tammy Roettgers is a seasoned trainer with 23-years military experience in CBRNe disciplines and training. She has led and supervised the high level training and operations of teams responsible for clandestine special operations in sensitive environments worldwide. She carries a deep breadth of training knowledge, and disciplines ranging from CBRNE live agent training to Antiterrorism driving.

ALEX IBARRA:
Alex has over 20-years of experience leading, managing, training, supervising medical hazmat training. Alex has developed large scale training programs, and provided consulting on Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) counter-proliferation, counter-terrorism, antiterrorism, emergency management, risk analysis, planning, exercise development, and research/development in support of joint task forces, special operations forces, other government agencies, and the Department of Defense on the strategic, operations, and tactical level.

TIM HARRIS:
Tim is a retired First Sergeant (1SG), 74D (Chemical, Biological Radiological and Nuclear Specialist) with 20-years experience as an Active Duty CBRN Soldier and gained 16-years of training experience as he trained soldiers of all rankings. As an instructor at the Chemical Defense Training Facility (CDTF, Fort McClellan), Tim received instructor of the year in 1997.

ALAN HIGGINS:
Alan is a 25-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in multiple conventional and Special Operations billets. With multiple combat tours and unique deployments, he brings a wealth of experience in the areas of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Home Made Explosives (HME), Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), spectroscopy and other detection/identification technologies. Alan was the Program Manager for an HME Level III Course, and was responsible for the management, conduct and safety of the program. During his time in this capacity, his course was widely accepted as a premier HME training solution for EOD and Special Operations personnel.
