AirBoss Announces Contract Award for the Joint General Service Respirator (JGSR) for Canadian DND
he intention of the J CBRN GSR project was to replace the C4 CBRN gas masks and C7A canisters now in service with the Canadian Forces (CF) with new CBRN respirators and canisters. The project objective is to procure sufficient respirators to equip Air, Land, and Maritime Forces, including specialized units, to support Standing and Mission Specific Task Forces; Immediate Reaction Units; and High Readiness Units.
This award represents the first major adoption by a modern military of AirBoss Defense’s state-of-the-art LBM. The LBM was designed and developed to be the world’s most advanced gas mask with a state-of-the-art lens, optical viewing area, improved fit, and reduced breathing resistance. The LBM has seen strong adoption since its introduction by AirBoss Defense.
