Rigaku recently announced some spectrum results for HME and CWA
Rigaku Raman announced that they had done a series of testing to corroborate the advantages of using 1064nm laser rather than a 785nm. They quantify the advantage as that due to the home made nature of terrorist devices that the agent will contain impurities that can colour the product, which can generate fluorescence interference for 785nm, but not 1064nm. The Rigaku team also tested their Progeny ResQ device against munition and laboratory grade G agents at ECBC, to show that the detector could pick up the difference. The improvements in the library and lack of fluorescence interference makes Rigaku feel confident that they can offer shorter measurement times.
