Mr. Pakorn Patimetha holds a rank of Detective Sergeant First Class (DSFC) in the New Jersey State Police Hazardous Materials Response Unit (HMRU).   DSFC Patimetha is responsible for the development and implementation of the narcotics field testing programs and fentanyl exposure protocols for the NJSP. These protocols are currently being used by multiple agencies within the State and have resulted in expediting narcotics investigations and safe processing/submission of hazardous narcotics evidence.  DSFC Patimetha has investigated numerous narcotic and explosive clandestine laboratories and served as a subject matter expert in contaminated crime scene processing, field identification of unknown substance, and clandestine laboratory investigation.   DSFC Patimetha is recognized as an expert witness by multiple jurisdictions, and has provided opinions as an SME in multiple court cases and investigations within the State of New Jersey.   DFSC Patimetha graduated from New Jersey State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology and is a certified Hazmat Technician Instructor.
