Maj. PhD Eng. Tomasz Otłowski is the commander of the Fire and Rescue Unit No. 6 in Poznan / Specialized Chemical and Ecological Rescue Group "Poznan 6". He has over twenty years of experience as a firefighter and hazardous materials technician. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań PhD, the Military University of Technology BSc/MSc and the Main School of Fire Service in Warsaw. He specializes in the fields of explosives, pyrotechnics and chemistry of hazardous materials. A long-term instructor and consultant of the security services of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Polish Armed Forces in the field of homemade explosives, hazardous materials and CBRNE hazards. He completed many specialized courses, such as: (EOD/IEDD Levels I - RECON,II - BOMB TECH,III - INSTRUCTOR), Neutralization of illegal drug laboratories course (ITCCCL),The advanced training course on Identification and neutralization of chemical improvised explosive devices, Training Course in Sampling Preparation and Analysis of Toxic Chemicals, OPCW, Identification of improvised explosives containing hazardous radioactive, chemical and biological substances (CBRN EOD) and many other similar ones.
