Dr Renato Bonora is Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padua, Italy, where he has been affiliated since 1993. 

An expert in CBRN defence, particularly in decontamination science and technology, he has been collaborating for many years with Cristanini S.p.A. on the development of advanced decontamination solutions.

He is actively involved in the development of technologies for the disposal of conventional and specialised munitions, holds several patents in this field, and has contributed to the design of dedicated munitions and explosives disposal facilities in Italy and abroad.
