According to a statement from the Makkah Region Police, the man assaulted his wife as she was getting off a bus operated by a maintenance company, following a family dispute. The attack, involving both a bladed weapon and a corrosive substance, resulted in her death, as well as the death of another woman and injuries to several others. The suspect then attempted suicide by pouring acid on himself but was apprehended by police and is currently in custody.
