#  Chemical UXO

 Written on 24 February 2026.

Residents were evacuated from their homes after reports of an unexploded bomb. A police cordon was established in Ditchling, UK, after unexploded chemical munitions were reportedly discovered during excavation work.

The munitions were reported at around 3.25pm on February 24th, after which the road was closed and residents evacuated. Police and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended the scene and safely removed the item.

By around 3am on the 25th, the cordon had been lifted, and residents were allowed to return to their homes, with the road reopened. Police added that the incident was not terror-related.
