#  One dead, 70 sickened

One person has died and over 70 others have fallen ill with symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) in Erragadda, Hyderabad, prompting a high-level investigation into possible food poisoning.

District Collector Durishetty said that water samples from the hospital’s source supply were sent to the state’s Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM) and initial reports showed no contamination. However, samples from the broader water distribution system are still undergoing analysis.
