 Written on 16 June 2026.

Five women were injured when they were attacked with sulfuric acid whilst sitting in a car. According to reports, two people on a moped drove past their car and threw the acid through the windows at them. All the women suffered burns with skin peeling but are expected to make full recoveries. According to police, the incident appears to be targeted and may have stemmed from an argument with a large group of people earlier in the day. The investigation remains ongoing and the suspects unidentified.
