Teledyne FLIR is showcasing its CERBERUS XL mobile counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) at GBAD Days, a defense technology event hosted by the Finnish Defence Forces.

In a message posted online, Michael Hornoe of Teledyne FLIR stated, “Teledyne FLIR is participating in GBAD Days hosted by Finnish Defence Forces. Look forward to showing our CERBERUS XL mobile C-UAS system detecting, tracking and identifying various types of drones.”

According to the company, the CERBERUS XL is a rugged, integrated system designed to rapidly deploy in austere environments. The platform includes a high-performance sensor suite and is built to deliver unmanned perimeter and border surveillance against a variety of aerial threats.

The company says the system provides long-range detection and tracking of Group 1 and Group 2 unmanned aerial systems using a combination of radar, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR), and radio-frequency (RF) sensors. It also includes a command-and-control platform with artificial intelligence and machine learning support.

The CERBERUS XL is described as sensor- and effector-agnostic, allowing operators to adapt the platform to mission-specific requirements. Teledyne FLIR emphasizes that the system is optimized for both ground and airborne threats, offering perimeter awareness and layered defense capabilities in contested environments.

As noted on the company’s website, CERBERUS XL is designed to integrate rapidly into operational environments without extensive infrastructure or calibration. Its mobility and modularity allow it to support tactical operations, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance.

The demonstration of Teledyne FLIR’s CERBERUS XL system underscores increasing NATO and allied interest in deployable C-UAS solutions amid growing drone threats on modern battlefields.
