#  US to accuse Iran of violating Chemical Weapons Convention

The plan is to apparently announce, at some point this week, that Iran has continued to maintain facilities, and equipment, used to produce CWAs.

The finding against Iran is purportedly based on recent intelligence. This is according to officials who were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

The determination does not carry any immediate U.S. penalties, but it could be used to file a complaint against Iran at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
