The CDP has been busy of late. Below you will find links and information on the training they are providing, including emergency response and hazardous materials courses.

[](https://cdp.dhs.gov/news-media/article/cdp-devcom-finalizing-plans-for-updated-training-bays)<https://cdp.dhs.gov/news-media/article/cdp-devcom-finalizing-plans-for-updated-training-bays>A Maryland-based team from U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) recently visited the CDP campus to discuss the first artist renderings of new themes for the training bays in the center’s Chemical, Ordnance, Biological and Radiological Training Facility (COBRATF).

<https://cdp.dhs.gov/news-media/article/new-bert-course-set-for-september-launch>FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness will launch its new Basic Emergency Response Training (BERT) Course in the middle of September.
An updated version of the center’s former Technical Emergency Response Training Course, BERT is geared at any responder who may be called upon to support mass casualty operations associated with a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear incident.

The revision includes information about two skills not previously included in the curriculum – liquid product transfer and overpacking drums.
