#  Steris awarded JSF decon

The good people at Global Biodefense spotted that Steris had been awarded this service support contract for the JSF [here](https://cbrneworld.com/%5C%22http://globalbiodefense.com/2013/07/05/joint-strike-fighter-decontamination-system-award-to-steris-corporation/%5C%22). Steris had previously been chosen as the decon technology of choice, [here](https://cbrneworld.com/%5C%22http://www.steris.com/defense/gaseousdecon.cfm%5C%22) and as the Fedbizops post shows [here](https://cbrneworld.com/%5C%22https://www.fbo.gov/?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=b2fbb57bdbb2d47604fbb63860771931&tab=core&_cview=0%5C%22) this was based on an RFP released on the 8th July, for a four year performance period with an anticipated value of $1,500,000. Since the technology provided is proprietary it should come as no great surprise that Steris was awarded this. Steris provide a mVHP solution to the sensitive/aircraft decon problem, other solutions that have been considered in similar roles were DEFENZ enzymes and AFRL has done a lot of research on hot air (for inactivation of bio).
