#  Russia proposes lifting ban on sale of chemical warfare agents

"At present, all supplies of chemical weapons, which were kept on the territory of the Russian Federation, have been destroyed, meanwhile the sale of chemical weapons (including toxic chemicals considered chemical weapons and their precursors) is forbidden by the said \[Chemical Weapons\] Convention. Therefore it makes sense to delete chemical warfare agents from the list," the ministry

The military’s proposal comes less than a month after the poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny with what German authorities say is the military-grade nerve agent Novichok.
