Written by CBRNe World Staff on 29 November 2017.

Leidos Australia has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of New South Wales to co-operate on research and development relating to force protection and biological security for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

“This partnership will support improvements in detection in detection and response to mitigate the threat of biological, chemical, and radiological weapons for the Australian people and our allies,” Leidos said in a statement on 29 November.

“The broader application of this research will help first responders handle hazmat \[hazardous material situations\] like industrial chemical releases more effectively.”
