#  IDF preps Israeli medical centres for chemical atttacks

According to the *Jerusalem Post*, the IDF Home Front Command announced new measures in December to tackle chemical attacks on Israel's domestic hospitals. The new measures will focus on efforts to mitigate a chemical attack by providing facilities for mass-decontamination and triage in the event of a large-scale disaster. Staff at Israeli medical centres will be given training to more effectively deal with missile attacks and incidents that are likely to incur \\"1000+\\" casualties. Sources close to the IDF, however, stress that the threat-level of an attack from neighbouring Syria remains low and that these plans are being implemented at least three years in advance of any anticipated threat.
