#  Environics lands STUK contract

Finnish Radiation and Nuclear Authority, STUK, awards a new significant four years framework contract to Finnish CBRN champion, Environics Oy, for radiation detection equipment program. Environics won the contract after international tendering phase, the value of contract is approximately 1,6 million euros.

The framework contract includes different types of portable and mobile radiation detection equipment and reachback data transfer solution developd by Environics. The new equipment will be delivered to the Finnish customs, which together with STUK is responsible authority combating against illicit trafficking of radiological material in Finland.
Environics’ portal radiation monitoring systems are already in use at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport, couple of harbors and border crossing stations in Finland. This new radiation detection equipment program will significantly improve Finnish nuclear security architecture.
