#  China rebuilding nuclear testing base

A report by the New York Times in December highlighted that in an area of desert where China detonated its first atom bomb nearly 60 years ago, there has been evidence of renewed drilling activities. The NY Times article suggests this is the strongest evidence yet that Beijing is weighing whether to test a new generation of nuclear arms that could increase the lethality of its rapidly expanding missile force.
