#  Afghan girls poisoned by school's water supply.

Almost 200 children and adults (all female) have been poisoned at a school in northeastern Afghanistan it has emerged this week. Radical Islamist insurgents are being held responsible for the contamination of the school's water supply, which resulted in a number of symptoms including nausea, vomiting and loss of consciouness. The poisonings, according to [CNN](https://cbrneworld.com/%5C%22http://edition.cnn.com/2012/04/18/world/asia/afghanistan-girls-poisoned/index.html%5C%22), were allegedly carried out as part of a campaign against the education of women.
