The Ground Ordnance Land Disruptor (GOLD) is a manpackable, low-cost, easily deployable disruptor used to deal with the most dangerous Improvised Explosive Device, the buried IED. GOLD is user filled and explosively driven which leads to complete disruption, separation of component parts and expulsion of the IED from the ground. This allows the device to be avoided to allow freedom of movement or recovered to maximise the forensic exploitation of the IED components.
