Brig. Gen. Prof. Przemyslaw WACHULAK – Rector of WAT
Brig. Gen. Prof. Przemyslaw W. Wachulak obtained his M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, major: laser technology, from the Military University of Technology (MUT), Warsaw, Poland in 2004 and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, major: extreme ultraviolet technology, from the Colorado State University (CSU), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA in 2008, habilitation degree in physics in 2013 from the University of Warsaw, and Full Professorship in 2018. Currently he holds position of full professor (2018) and Commandant-Rector of the Military University of Technology.
He is an author and co-author of one book, 12 chapters in monographs, 134 JCR publications, 123 articles from other peer-reviewed journals, and over 330 conference abstracts. His work focuses on the development of new laser-plasma sources for the generation of extreme ultraviolet and soft X-ray radiation for applications in nanoimaging, holography, absorption spectroscopy, optical coherence tomography, or radiobiology. He has participated in many national and international scientific conferences, including 34 invited lectures and presentations. He was and is a member of national and international scientific societies, incl. Polish Young Academy of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Committee of Metrology and Scientific Apparatus of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Committee of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the American Chemical Society ACS, the Polish Society of Synchrotron Radiation PTPS.
