Alain Hudon

Sergeant Alain Hudon is an advisor with the Montreal Police Service`s Counter Terrorism and Emergency Measures Unit, since 2003.

Joining Montreal Police Force in 1993, he started his career as a Patrol Officer in the 13th District.  Promoted to Senior Officer in 1998, he worked in several districts and borough stations, eventually joining the Community Relations Unit in 2000 and then, in 2003, the Operational Planning Division, where he was in charge of logistics for large international events.

In 2006, he was chosen as Team Leader for the Risk Assessment and Site Protection Team and, to this day, trains all officers related to this field. Promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2007 within the Counter Terrorism and Emergency Measures Unit, and since 2011 has been the Supervisor and Unit Coordinator.

Among his principle responsibilities regarding terrorism and emergency measures, Sergeant Hudon is; advisor to the SPVM management; responsible for CBRNe equipment and response; site protection and reinforcement for major events; overview of calls and events; training and maintenance of competences of police personnel.
