Captain David Laub has over 30 years of fire service experience with 24 of those years with the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD), serving as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Engineer and Fire Captain. Captain Laub has been a Hazardous Materials Specialist since 2002 and assigned to an Urban Search and Rescue Task Force for 4 years. Since 2014, Captain Laub has been assigned to the Homeland Security Section and is currently imbedded with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department HazMat Detail.
As a tactical medic, Captain Laub has delivered active shooter training to 5000 fire department personnel. Captain Laub has trained over 700 firefighters in rapid extraction during hazardous materials incidents. Captain Laub developed and implemented the LACoFD special event Paramedic Bicycle Team and is an FAA certified sUAS small unmanned aircraft (Drone) Pilot.
