Paul Kastner is the current Chief of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency’s Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Response Team. Responsible for the conduct of counter CBRN technical operations including chemical and biological agent detection and identification, radiological material detection and identification, hazardous material sampling, CBRNE evidence collection in support of criminal investigations, environmental sampling, rescue and recovery operations in a contaminated environment, and protection of high-risk personnel at the Pentagon.

Commander of the primary homeland security response unit for MD National Guard leading a highly specialized CBRN emergency response team to provide support to civil authorities during incidents involving weapons of mass destruction or other threats.
