**Ed Klima, CEM |** Managing Partner | EventC2

Ed Klima is a certified emergency manager with more than 35 years of public safety, emergency management, and major event experience. Most recently, he served as the Director of Safety and Emergency Preparedness for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, providing strategic leadership in the development, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive safety, emergency preparedness, and response programs across the tournament footprint in North America for both the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As an emergency management professional specializing in major sporting and entertainment events, Mr. Klima has supported some of the nation’s largest and most complex events and organizations, including the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, NBA, NFL Pro Bowl, NFL Draft, and NFL Super Bowl. He has been an integral part of NFL emergency planning and event preparedness for more than 22 years. Previously, as Senior Director of Public Safety and Track Operations for Dover Motorsports and Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, he oversaw emergency preparedness, public safety, and security operations at multiple motorsports facilities across the United States, as well as the comprehensive safety and security program for a large, multi-faceted sporting, entertainment, hospitality, and gaming complex in Delaware.

A career public safety professional, Mr. Klima has more than 35 years of fire service experience in both career and combination departments, serving in leadership and operational roles as a chief officer, firefighter, hazardous materials technician, EMT, and fire inspector. He has extensive experience addressing national first responder issues and previously served as Managing Director of the First Responder Center of Excellence for Preventing Occupational Illness, Injuries and Deaths and as External Affairs Director for the Congressional Fire Services Institute. He has served on numerous National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) committees, including NFPA 1580, 1585, and 610, and previously served as Vice Chair of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) Academy for Venue Safety and Security.

Mr. Klima holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in Public Safety Management from Saint Joseph’s University.
