##  Dr Jozef Sabol

Dr Jozef Sabol is an Associate Professor at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic (PACR) in Prague, where he is the Head of the Department of Crisis Management. He holds a PhD and DSc. Before joining the PACR in 2016, he had worked for more than 20 years at the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. During his career, he was primarily engaged in radiation protection and the safe use of radiation and nuclear technology in medicine, industry, and environmental studies. These activities resulted in 8 monographs, more than 300 scientific publications, and 18 patents. Dr Sabol also spent some time abroad: 5 years as the Project Manager at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, two years as the Visiting Professor at the Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Science in Hsinchu (Taiwan) and two years at the Pebble Bed Nuclear Modular Reactors in Centurion (Republic of South Africa). Currently engaged as a head of the group at PACR, working on two research projects (CHIMERA and UNICOPS) sponsored under the EU Horizon program. Both projects are related to protecting the population against CBRN agents.
