Brian Coughlin is a Captain with the Philadelphia Fire Department (PFD), where he has proudly served since 2006. Throughout his career, he has worked in various engine and ladder companies across the city, including five years with Ladder 15 in the Kensington section of the city, one of the busiest ladder companies in the country.

Since 2019, Brian has served in the PFD's Special Operations Division. In 2021, he assumed the role of Assistant Director of the Hazardous Materials Administrative and Special Events Unit. In this capacity, he oversees operational planning, logistics, coordination, and execution of departmental deployments for major events. Most recently, he led these efforts for the FIFA Club World Cup and FIFA World Cup operations within Philadelphia.
