Deputy Fire Chief Robert Calobrisi

A first generation firefighter, Deputy Fire Chief Robert J. Calobrisi has served for 36+ years in the Boston Fire Department. This includes 15 years as a Division Commander (2005 to 2020), 3 years as Director of the City of Boston Emergency Management Agency (2002 to 2005) and 2+ years in the BFD Special Operations Command Division, where he currently directs both Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue training disciplines. From January 2009 to May 2010, he served as the Chairperson of the BFD's Board of Inquiry investigation into the Line of Duty Death of Ladder Company 26 Fire Lieutenant Kevin Kelley. He was also designated as the Chairperson of the BFD Apparatus Committee from 2015 to 2022. A 1996 BFD Roll of Merit recipient, he currently holds a BS degree in Fire Science from Salem State College  and a BS degree in Business Administration from Boston College.
