This month has seen a flourish of reporting, and speculation, about the novel Coronavirus (CoV) outbreak in China. This is understandable in the light of the havoc other CoV's have caused in the past, one only has to think back to the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak in 2003 which resulted in the infection of over 8,000 people and the deaths of nearly 800 to understand why everyone is so interested in this latest CoV.
