FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) today announced the Griffin G465 Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) for mobile platforms, the latest addition to the Griffin G400-Series GC/MS family. The G465, featuring a new heated sampling line, is the industry’s most flexible GC/MS device with unmatched sampling options for vapor, liquid, and solid samples and best-in-class chemical identification.

FLIR’s new heated sampling line enables the Griffin G465 to operate in survey mode and perform vapor threat identification within seconds. Like traditional, lab-based GC/MS systems, the Griffin G465 is equipped with an integrated standard liquid injector that accepts multiple interchangeable sampling tools for vapor, liquid, and solid samples. The system also features an integrated universal sampling port that provides continuous air monitoring capability and a quick connect fitting for downrange plug-and-play samplers.

The Griffin G465 employs industry-leading chemical matching techniques that produce high-confidence results and eliminate the need to interpret data in the field. Intuitive user controls, on-screen guidance, and simple data presentation help field operators accelerate decision-making. The system is protected by a rugged, internal shock isolation system that is tested to rigorous MIL-STD-810G standards and can be operated in a moving vehicle.

“The Griffin G465 eliminates the guess work in chemical analysis by using automated chemical matching and color-coded, go/no-go alarms” said Dennis Barket, Jr., Vice President and General Manager of FLIR Detection. “With the addition of the survey mode feature, field operators can make quick and better-informed decisions in complex field environments, ensuring the safety of both the operators and the public. The flexibility offered by the G465 ensures it is always mission-ready.”

FLIR is showcasing the Griffin G465 at the CBRNE Convergence Show November 1-2, 2016 in San Diego, Calif., booth #26. The FLIR Griffin G465 is now available worldwide for purchase through FLIR or established distribution networks.  To learn more about the Griffin G465, visit: http://www.flir.com/G465.
