The latest perfluoroelastomer offering from DuPont Performance Materials, Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7275, offers a higher level of sealing performance in the most aggressive chemical processing and manufacturing environments.
“Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7275 is an innovative product tailored specifically for the most demanding and aggressive environments in the chemical processing industry. Our latest grade of Kalrez® offers many benefits including an increased MTBR (mean time between repair) which contributes to reduced maintenance costs and longer equipment life for our customers,” said Shane Campbell, global business leader, DuPont™ Kalrez®. “DuPont is always looking for opportunities to innovate in ways that help our end-users and customers, and we’re pleased to be able to offer a sealing material which helps to improve process safety and MTBR.”
Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7275 is an innovative perfluoroelastomer product that provides long life sealing in an array of aggressive chemical environments that are known to be difficult for sealing, including ethylene oxide, acrylic monomers, silanes and chlorosilanes, and strong oxidizers such as nitric acid, chlorine and chlorine dioxide. It has shown improved chemical and compression set resistance and mechanical property retention versus other competitive elastomers. It is based on a proprietary cross-linking system and is uniquely identifiable from its light brown color. Targeted applications for Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7275 include industries which depend on mechanical seals, pumps, valves, compressors, filtration columns and analytical equipment as part of their critical processes.
Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7275 joins a portfolio of high-performance materials that DuPont offers to the chemical processing industry and is supported by a world-class technical support team with broad expertise in sealing solutions. Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7275 is available in a broad range of standard O-ring sizes and custom parts for a wide range of sealing applications.
